Love is in the Air

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we're sharing a few tidbits from our love story. This picture was taken on our first date in Los Angeles. Kathy still looks radiant and beautiful, and I have well... lost a few hairs.

Kathy and I met at an Italian restaurant called, "Mangia" in Rancho Park. She worked in the front of the house, and I was the lunch chef. Classic. We went dancing on our first date, and as many of you have seen first hand, I love to dance!

The first meal I ever cooked for her was a simple, homemade buttered pasta with tomato concasse, basil, and parmesan with a green salad. Proof that you don't have to make something ultra complicated to get the girl. Kathy made me an awesome roasted chicken with garlic, potatoes, and onions that I still love. To impress her, I made a Croquembouche because she loves that dessert. And if you don't know what a Croquembouche is, it is a pate aux choux, pastry cream, caramel tower that will take you all weekend to create.

On our next date, she invited me over to her loft that she shared with a roommate, and after taking a look around at the mess... I cleaned her apartment, deep cleaned the fridge, and waxed the floors. Who does that?! We still joke about that date to this day.

Happy Valentine's Day to All,

Thierry & Kathy

P.S. Kathy would like me to point out that I have not waxed our floors since, but I still keep our fridge clean.
